Places to visit near Shimla:

The Mall Road:

The Mall road is the main well decorated shopping street of Shimla consists many hotels, restaurants, clubs, bars, cafes, post office, tourist offices
and government offices. It is app. 2 km long and accessed by foot only.
Ridge:

The Ridge is the large open space and beneath it contains a water reservior with a capacity of 1000000 gallons of water. The Ridge
is famous for the various government functions and fairs that are held here. It usually connects Scandal point, Lakkar Bazar, Jakhoo Hill, Mall Road with each other.
The view of himalayan ranges from here mesmorizing tourists. Cars, buses, two wheeler except emergency vehicles are not allowed on The Ridge. Christ Church,

Christ Church:

It is the house of viceroys of India. It was build for Lord Dufferin in 1884-1885. It is the masterpiece of civil engineering taht was curved at

Chail palace, located near Shimla

Chail is situated at 45 kilometers from Shimla. The major attractions here are Chail Palace, Kalli Tibba and cricket stadium. Chail Palace was built by the Maharaja of
Patiala during the British Raj as summer retreat. It is known for the world?s highest cricket ground at a height of 7220 feet situated in the Chail cantonment area.
kaali tibba is the white shinny temple of Hindu Diety Goddess Kaali. It situated at the top of the hill. The view from here stunned everyone for a while.

On 8 July 2008, the Kalka Shimla Railway was listed as the World Heritage Site. The major wide guage station is Kalka railway station and has daily departures to major
