Lutru Mahadev Temple
Lord Shiva has innumerable forms and he has many temple too. One of them is the ancient temple lutru mahadev temple. This temple is famous for the vines of Lord Shiva. The temple here is situated on a beautiful hill 4 kms high from Arki of solan district. This temple is built in a huge cave which is about 61 feet in length and 31 feet in width. This temple was built by the king of the princely state of Baghal in 1621 AD.
There is a Shivling Inside the cave. There is a circular area just above the cave. The sun rays fall directly on the Shivling from that circular hole. The special thing is that in this temple devotees offer cigarettes filled with cannabis along with fruits and flowers to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the sound of om is heard here at 4:00am on the day of Sankranti. Even today on the day of sankranti milk flows from the hair of Lord Shiva. Devotees come here from far and wide to see this.
